My 25th Birthday!
Happy 25th birthday Rena!
Another year older but doesn't mean I'm old!
People still say I look like 20?=.="
But I'm happy! :)
Before midnight, was with my brother and bf at the futsal court, watching them playing was fun!
My dearest tym was anxious and nervous, it was so obvious, and he kept asking what time is it now?
Hmm, something fishy.....
After their game, we all went over to BRJ mamak to have our supper..
And guess what, my lovely sis(franchesca), Sherman, Calvin, dailou and his gf gave me surprise! I knew it!:)
But I was touched by what my bf did.. It's the thoughts.. :) thank you dear..
After having my Nasi goreng kampung, we all head back home..
Again, I would like to thank all my friends for all the birthday wishes.. :)

Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan @ Penang
Yes! Another road trip to Penang, located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia! Besides, we had this road trip in conjunction of our lovely Shin Tyng's wedding too. Congratulations Shin Tyng! Now, we began our journey and we reached Penang in 3 hours time. Not too bad aye*winks* So, what is famous in this lovely town? As far as I know, I have not been to Penang before. So I'm totally like a tourist here. Penang cuisine reflects the Chinese, Nyonya, Malay and Indian ethnic mix of Malaysia. Once people talking about Penang food, you will definitely hear all these like Penang Char Kueh Teow, satay, asam laksa, cendol, prawn noodles, tau sar pneah(bean paste biscuits), rojak and much more. Basically, this typical town is famous with "hawker food". No doubt, although all hawker stalls do not look porsh and clean enough, but the food is awesome! Trust me. I'm quite particular in cleanliness but for these places, you will regret if you do not try on all the food.
Satay
We found several places which is famous for their Penang Char Kueh Teow(Fried flat noodles). One of it Is located in Lorong Selamat. Let me briefly describe what is Char Kueh Tiaw. This noodle is stir-fried over high heat with dark and light soya sauce and of course chili together with bean sprout, egg, prawns, cockles and chopped Chinese chives.Although it is a bit pricey for a hawker food, but it's very delicious. The price range depends on what ingredients you would like to have in you fried noodles, and the portion.

Next, we had some desserts! Cendol, ABC, Rojak! Cendol is a traditional dessert originates from South East Asia. The Indonesians believed that the word Cendol was from the word jendol, which means "Bump" or "bulge" which refers to the green worm like jelly found in the dessert. This dessert consists of coconut milk, green jelly which made of rice flour and food coloring, shaved ice and palm sugar/brown sugar. Famous places to have all these yumilicious food are located along Lorong Selamat and Joo Hooi Cafe at Lebuh Keng Kwee.

Not to miss, for a hard rock hard core fan like me, must visit hard rock cafe in Penang. Bought my favourite pins! yay!

Tim Pan Ko Ko Dessert @ Kuchai Lama
Time to enjoy some dessert in the hot weather? This dessert shop is situated in Kuchai Lama, the same row as Papparich. It has a variety choices of desserts that you should try. As for me, mango is my favourite, so I tried Pamelo and Sago in Mango Sweet Soup and Mango Glutinous Rice Rolls. I would say the price is reasonable. Go and have a try! :)

Homecook Food
Tired of having outside food everyday? I believed most young couples or students who are staying al by themselves here, will surely miss their mummy's cooking. Home cook food is always the best as it is not as oily as the food you have in hawkers or restaurants, and no doubt, more healthy! What you can do is, try to cook something at home, if your place allows. I used to stay alone in KL, when I was in college and uni. I lost weight because I always skipped meals. But I do love to cook, but cooking alone is not as fun as cooking with a bunch of friends. During my last year of uni in university of Strathclyde, I enjoyed cooking so much! Not only cooking, baking too.
Ever since I started work as a pharmacist, I rarely cook cuz I'm too lazy. :P I love watching Australia master chef as well as junior master chef. One weekend, I was inspired by their cooking, so decided to try on some recipes found in www.masterchef.com.au. This is an official website Of the much-anticipated Series of junior masterchef. You will be drooling and amazed looking at the food that the kids cook! How could they cook a dish on the spot without knowing it in advance? If I was asked to cook something right now, I don't think I could even think of the ingredients that I need.
So, I've decided to try on 3 of their dishes, which are the Beef and Mushroom Cottage Pie, prawn chilli stir fried fettucini, and strawberry smoothies as dessert. All recipes are from master chef website, but with my own wee alterations because I couldn't find some of the ingredients in the supermarket.
After few hours of preparation and cooking, the final outcome was satisfying! :)

Besides, this place has a wide range of wines, for wine-lovers, you may try this out. For food wise, they serve nice freshly handmade pasta! *yumyum*. You are what I never knew I always wanted
Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit
Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving
31.08.2010 Merdeka Eve
We were just friends from the very beginning till the day he told me that he likes me, 31st August
we always hang out together
from yumcha to dinner, karaoke, church etc
comfortable, protected, that's what I can say
and he told me the same thing too
surprisingly, cuz all this while as his friend, i thought he would never fall for a gal like me
The way to find out if you love someone or not, is by talking to them
The more you talk to them the more you either hate them or love them
the night we had party @ Neway Puchong
finally, expressing his feelings
but in his half-gged-on-alcohol-condition
but love waits for one thing, the right moment
so i guess he asked at the right time <3
